What is the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline?
988 is the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, providing 24/7 confidential support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, emotional distress, or thoughts of suicide. CONTACT Care Line proudly operates as the local provider for 988 services in Tennessee, as well as a key national partner for chat, text, and Spanish-language phone support.

Our Services
English Services
As one of Tennessee’s primary providers for 988 services, CONTACT Care Line plays a vital role in supporting English-speaking individuals in crisis. We manage 988 phone services in 15 East Tennessee counties and are the state’s primary center for 988 chat and text support. In addition to our state-level services, we are also part of the national 988 chat and text back-up network, ensuring that anyone, anywhere, can access the help they need.

Spanish Services
CONTACT Care Line is committed to supporting Spanish-speaking individuals during times of crisis. Our Spanish-language phone service offers a trusted, confidential space for individuals to reach out for support, ensuring they can communicate their needs clearly and receive appropriate care in their preferred language.

CONTACT Care Line’s Tennessee 988 service is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
