988 is the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, providing 24/7 confidential support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, emotional distress, or thoughts of suicide. CONTACT Care Line proudly operates as the local provider for 988 services in Tennessee, as well as a key national partner for chat, text, and Spanish-language phone support.

A counselor will answer and introduce themselves.

Your counselor will ask if you are safe. This is an important first step in ensuring your well-being.

Listening and Support

After checking on your safety, the counselor will listen to your concerns, understand how your situation is affecting you, and offer emotional support. They will also provide helpful resources that may assist you during this time.
