Michelle Gatewood
Deputy Executive Director

Michelle Gatewood is the Deputy Executive Director of CONTACT® Care
Line®. She first joined the organization as Clinical Training Manager,
where she supported new crisis staff in building the skills and confidence
needed to serve callers, texters, and chatters, while also creating continuing
education opportunities to foster resilience and sustainability among
tenured team members.
Michelle began working in mental health in 2002 with individuals on the
Autism Spectrum and transitioned to crisis intervention in 2016. Her
experience as a crisis counselor, clinical supervisor, program supervisor,
program manager, and now deputy executive director gives her a deep,
well-rounded understanding of the unique needs of crisis staff.
In 2013, she earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy
from Regis University and is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
In addition to her passion for empowering and supporting crisis workers,
she is a wife, mother, and an advocate for the importance of self-care.
